Golf Course Equipment Manager / Mechanic Shenandoah Country Club West Bloomfield, Michigan Shenandoah Country Club is seeking a motivated, skilled, and detail-oriented Golf Course Equipment Manager/Mechanic to join our golf course maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a progressive club investing heavily in the future of its golf course and maintenance operation. We are currently in the midst of a comprehensive bunker renovation in collaboration with golf course architect Chris Wilczynski , with additional golf course improvements planned. Even more exciting, construction of a brand-new state-of-the-art maintenance facility is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2027, providing our next Equipment Manager with the opportunity to help shape and operate from a modern workspace designed specifically for today's turf equipment maintenance needs. Position Summary The Golf Course Equipment Manager is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of the golf course equipment fleet. Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents, the Equipment Manager will ensure that all equipment is safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance to support daily course maintenance. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on all golf course equipment. Diagnose and repair gasoline, diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules. Manage equipment inventory, parts, and shop organization. Coordinate equipment warranty repairs and vendor relationships. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient maintenance shop. Assist in evaluating future equipment needs and replacement schedules. Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards. Train staff on proper equipment operation and care when necessary. Qualifications Experience maintaining golf course, agricultural, or commercial turf equipment. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic skills. Ability to weld and fabricate is preferred. Experience with Toro, John Deere, Kubota, and other turf equipment is a plus. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with the golf course maintenance team. Valid driver's license.
