This leadership role is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who values customer service, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and enjoys working in a senior living setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department, including preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance. Maintain the building, resident apartments, common areas, grounds, and mechanical systems to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Coordinate repairs related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other building systems. Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate contracted services. Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, equipment records, and required documentation. Housekeeping Supervise the housekeeping team and ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met throughout the community. Develop staff schedules and assign daily responsibilities. Conduct quality assurance inspections of resident apartments and common areas. Provide coaching, training, and performance management for housekeeping staff. Monitor inventory levels and order housekeeping and maintenance supplies within budget. Leadership Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Collaborate with department leaders to support resident satisfaction and operational excellence. Develop and manage departmental budgets while maintaining cost-effective operations. Respond promptly to resident concerns and service requests with professionalism and compassion. Qualifications Minimum of two years of maintenance leadership experience; senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multifamily housing experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, life safety standards, and preventive maintenance programs. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with building maintenance. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
