Service Manager Wolverine Truck Group - Ypsilanti, Michigan With over 60 years in the industry and 3 dealership locations in the Metro Detroit area, Wolverine Truck Group serves a wide range of customers in the trucking industry. With two of the best truck brands backing us; Freightliner and Western Star, we have the platform to deliver a level of superiority far beyond the customer's expectations. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Service Manager to join our team. Salary will be determined according to the candidate's experience and skills. Wolverine Truck Group offers a benefit package including: 401(k) retirement plan, with company match Disability Insurance Health, Vision and Dental Insurance Life Insurance Paid Vacation The Service Manager is accountable for operations, profitability, sales performance results, department supervision, and customer satisfaction in the Service department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them. Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments. Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department. Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect shop operations. Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all service department staff. Direct and schedule the activities of all service department employees. Conduct meetings with service department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation. Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Establish and enforce a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Previous supervisory experience. 3 years of experience in an automotive or heavy truck service department. Excellent communication and managerial skills. Willingness to learn dealership and OEM computer systems. Professional personal appearance. CDK experience a plus.
