Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Superintendent for a direct hire opportunity with a growing manufacturing operation in the Madelia, MN area. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced industrial maintenance leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving equipment reliability, and supporting safe, efficient production operations. The Maintenance Superintendent will lead maintenance activities on the assigned shift, mentor Industrial Maintenance Technicians, and partner closely with Production and Engineering to maximize uptime. This role offers a stable manufacturing environment, supportive leadership, positive teamwork, advancement potential, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on operational performance. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance operations on 2nd shift to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable equipment performance.
- Lead, train, and mentor Industrial Maintenance Technicians to strengthen team capability and accountability.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed in compliance with company safety protocols and operational standards.
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Support troubleshooting, repair prioritization, preventive maintenance execution, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate shift maintenance priorities, equipment issues, and performance updates to key stakeholders. Compensation and Benefits

- Oversee shift maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Lead and mentor Industrial Maintenance Technicians.
- Coordinate maintenance priorities with Production and Engineering.
- Support equipment uptime, safety compliance, and maintenance performance.
- Industrial maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair coordination, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to lead teams, coach technicians, and promote accountability on the maintenance floor.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Maintenance, Production, and Engineering.
- Management-level experience with the ability to prioritize work, solve problems, and support continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, or similar industrial maintenance leadership role.
- Experience supporting high-uptime manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with maintenance planning, reliability improvement, and cross-functional production support.
- Experience training and developing industrial maintenance teams.
