Maintenance Planner Position Summary Show Me Ethanol is seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Planner to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and plant performance. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to operations. The Maintenance Planner works closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and contractors to prepare quality work packages, maintain accurate maintenance data, and support a culture of reliability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, and Work Prioritization Develop detailed work plans for maintenance activities, including labor, materials, tools, permits, and safety requirements. Build and manage weekly maintenance schedules in partnership with Operations and Maintenance leadership. Prioritize maintenance work based on safety, environmental, reliability, regulatory, and production needs. Ensure planned work is ready for execution before scheduling. Facilitate planning and scheduling meetings and communicate upcoming maintenance activities. Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Program Effectiveness Support and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs. Evaluate PM effectiveness and recommend changes based on equipment history and reliability trends. Monitor completion rates and program compliance. Work with maintenance and operations personnel to identify recurring equipment issues and opportunities for improvement.

Maintenance Readiness:

Materials, Tools, and Job Plans Verify materials, parts, tools, and contractor resources are available before scheduled work begins. Develop and maintain detailed job plans and standard work procedures. Coordinate with purchasing and inventory personnel to ensure critical parts availability. Reduce maintenance delays caused by missing information, parts, or resources. Maintenance Data Integrity, CMMS Accuracy, and Performance Reporting Maintain accurate asset, equipment, and work order information within the CMMS. Ensure maintenance history, failure codes, labor hours, and materials usage are properly documented. Generate and analyze maintenance KPIs including schedule compliance, backlog health, PM completion, and equipment reliability metrics. Provide reports and recommendations to support maintenance and operational decision-making. Cross-Functional Coordination to Support Reliability and Safety Partner with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and contractors to safely execute maintenance work. Support outage planning, shutdown execution, and major maintenance projects. Promote safe work practices and ensure maintenance activities meet plant safety standards. Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Preferred 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance supervision, reliability, or industrial maintenance. Experience using a CMMS system. Strong organizational, scheduling, and coordination skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance principles. Familiarity with inventory management and storeroom processes.
