Job Description
Maintenance Supervisor Guides the day-to-day activities of a maintenance team responsible for the electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic servicing and maintenance of production machinery, equipment, facilities, utilities, and grounds. Ensures compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards while promoting reliable equipment performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of maintenance technicians by providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful completion of work. Participates in HR activities including hiring, performance management, scheduling, team member development, corrective actions, and goal setting. Enforces company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Directs the maintenance and repair of production equipment, mobile equipment, buildings, utilities, and grounds in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Develops, schedules, and manages a preventive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in optimal operating condition. Plans and prioritizes maintenance work to ensure company property is maintained in a safe and efficient manner while minimizing production downtime. Inspects maintenance work in progress and upon completion to ensure quality workmanship, regulatory compliance, and adherence to safety standards. Ensures proper maintenance and repair of facility equipment, machinery, and building systems. Partners with Operations and Sanitation to ensure equipment is properly maintained, production-ready, and available to meet operational needs. Plans daily work activities to support the Safety Accountability Process and Maintenance Accountability Program while ensuring appropriate staffing and resource allocation. Identifies, recommends, and implements equipment improvements, process enhancements, and capital needs to improve production efficiency, equipment reliability, and reduce costs. Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience) High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Four (4) or more years of relevant maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. One (1) or more years of leadership or supervisory experience, or demonstrated leadership capabilities sufficient to perform the responsibilities of the role.
