Seasonal Maintenance Associate 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 1810 Hideaway Road, Galena, MO 65656 TopSide Marinas 8 reviews Report to: Marina Maintenance Manager or Service Manager The Maintenance team members are responsible for the repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the marina. The position requires the team member to work 5 days per week and 8 hours per day according to the schedule agreed upon with your manager. Marina operating hours range from 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and seasonal schedule changes may take place at management discretion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in daily operations of the Marina as needed by the Maintenance or Service Manager Inspect boats, equipment, and machinery on the marina Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles Attend to and fix boats, equipment, and machinery that have a problem Daily supervision of lake levels and management of the dock winch cabling systems. Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records. Responsible for detailed documentation of maintenance and repair work. Work proactively to prevent hazardous situations Ensure adherence to departmental and / or operations policies, procedures, and practices Perform boat dock repairs to steel and wooden structures Perform boat lift repairs and installation Occasional need to work overnight to monitor cables when weather requires Perform such duties as assigned by the
Marina Maintenance Manager Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitude Proven experience as a Mechanic and thorough understanding of mechanical devices, tools, and marine technology Previous experience in the related industry with a certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred Able to live heavy equipment and work on waters Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve Ability to manage multiple projects at a time despite interruptions Ability to make independent decisions and determine the appropriate course of action Professional conduct and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers, tenants, vendors, and government personnel
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs Carry up to 50 lbs Work around water Work in tight spaces Work at heights of up to 30 feet Stand, walk, sit, push, pull, climb, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, grasp
