Job Description
Little Blue Valley Sewer District, a public agency created in 1968, operates two wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for environmental excellence. Starting Salary:
DOQ Salary Range:
$73,281/yr to $109,922/yr Position open until filled.EOE M/F/D/V
Assistant Maintenance Manager- College degree (minimum Associate) with major related to technology, electrical or mechanical systems. Experience in supervisory or management roles. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Experience may be substituted for accredited formal education (technical school or college degree).
- Experience with wastewater treatment process control equipment & systems, and related infrastructure.
- Experience in managing, repairing, and maintaining electrical & mechanical systems; using computerized maintenance management systems and electronic work order systems.
- Knowledge of purchasing and procurement methods, obtaining/using contracts, quotation & competitive bidding processes, on-call service agreements.
- Proficient with office communications equipment and software, i.e., spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail.
- Possess and maintain valid driver's license and driving record satisfactory to District policy.
- Minimum qualifications cannot be obtained through on-the-job training Mon-Fri.
