Job Description

Lead with purpose Imagine stepping onto the floor in Forest, MS as second shift begins. Your team of 15 refrigeration professionals looks to you to keep ammonia systems stable, safe, and efficient. You set the vision for maintenance excellence, ensure every inspection counts, and build a preventive maintenance engine that keeps the plant moving. Impact you'll make Command day-to-day maintenance for ammonia refrigeration and allied systems to achieve peak performance. Develop your team through coaching, training, and clear expectations that raise productivity and quality. Create and sustain preventive maintenance plans that minimize downtime and protect equipment life. Lead frequent inspections to identify needs and mitigate safety hazards before they surface. Own budget planning and spend control for maintenance activities. Engage and manage external contractors and vendors for specialized technical support. Keep accurate logs of maintenance work, repairs, and storeroom inventory. Uphold all safety standards and company policies; champion a Safety First culture in every procedure. What sets you up for success Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, evaluate, and train a 15-person refrigeration technician team. Experience tracking performance, driving down downtime, and directing/assisting with repairs. Proven safety leadership and culture building. History of building and maintaining effective preventive maintenance programs. Post-secondary education (vocational school and/or college coursework). Minimum 3 years of industrial refrigeration experience with ammonia systems.
Basic computer skills:
email, data entry into templates, simple queries. Travel flexibility for 1-5 trips per year. Supervisory background overseeing personnel performing similar and related tasks.
