Job Summary Join our dynamic facilities team as a Property Maintenance Technician, where you'll be the backbone of building upkeep and operational excellence. Your energetic approach and technical expertise will ensure our properties are safe, functional, and welcoming. From routine repairs to complex systems troubleshooting, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our facilities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of maintenance disciplines while contributing to a well-managed environment that supports both residents and staff. Duties Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment. Use hand tools, power tools, schematics, and meters such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. Conduct repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal operation. Carry out building interior maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general fixtures upkeep. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee the proper use of safety protocols during welding or other specialized tasks. Maintain detailed records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work orders, inspections, and inventory management. Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure high standards of customer service for residents or tenants. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles with knowledge of residential or commercial property upkeep. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on skills with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC system repair, electrical work, and plumbing system maintenance is highly desirable. Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), manufacturing environments or similar settings is advantageous. Supervising experience or leadership skills to oversee projects or junior staff effectively. Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters confidently. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer service interactions. Pay:
$14.00 - $25.00 per hour
