Job Description

Job Objective:
Efficiently manage and direct all aspects of the shop operations in an effective manner which ensures internal and external customer satisfaction and maximum profits for the company. Coordinate activities and cooperate with other departments to best serve the service needs of the Customer.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with established processes and procedures. Schedule all service work and assign to Technicians. Oversee the work to ensure customer satisfaction. Advise stakeholders of repairs and estimated cost/timeline of the repairs. Work with customers to resolve any complaints. Maintain a clean and orderly shop area at all times. Charge out all service tickets, customer, internal and warranty in a timely and profitable manner. Work with sales staff on prompt and cost-effective reconditioning of used equipment. Control expenses of the department while maintaining productive services for our customers. Work harmoniously with other departments. Conduct regular service department meetings with all technicians. Control non
  • productive time, breaks, and PTO.
Maintain and keep current the service library manuals. Ensure that all personnel and the shop look professional and that the shop is safe. Conduct regular safety meetings. Ensure that new machines going out on demo are clean and in "ready to go" condition; that follow-up service is conducted. Work closely with parts' department to ensure that parts required are available. Review individual and departmental performance with service personnel to assure performance meets department goals.
Job Specifications:
4-year bachelor's degree preferred or 4-year experience in the area. Must have a high level of technical competence in the Ag. Service area. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to create and maintain a strong work team. Excellent supervisory, communication and leadership skills. Must be very detail-oriented and self-motivated. Works well in collaboration with others. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently. Positive attitude with an enthusiastic, can-do outlook.
