Job Description

Property Maintenance Supervisor Madison County, Montana A beautiful ranch in Madison County, Montana is seeking a Property Supervisor to add to their team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence. The Property Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of all buildings, landscapes, and equipment to ensure everything meets the highest standards of quality and care. This hands-on role works closely with the Ranch Manager, ranch staff, contractors, and leaseholders to coordinate property upkeep, manage irrigation and grazing systems, uphold conservation and restoration agreements, and supervise seasonal team members.

Essential Functions and Duties:
Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all property facilities, structures, and landscapes to the highest standards, ensuring functionality, safety, and visual appeal year-round Manage contractors, vendors, and maintenance services, coordinating repairs, construction projects, and equipment upkeep while maintaining accurate communication, scheduling, and expense reporting Maintain and monitor property infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, water systems, pest and weed control, fencing, vehicles, and machinery, ensuring all systems remain in excellent working order Plan and execute agricultural and irrigation activities, operate and maintain flood, handline, side-roll, and pivot systems; manage water rights, grazing systems, and rangeland improvements for optimal productivity and sustainability Support conservation and restoration efforts, leading stream restoration, habitat protection, fire mitigation, and invasive species control in compliance with easements and environmental regulations Coordinate with the Ranch Manager, staff, and leaseholders to align on property goals, manage grazing rotations, and ensure all activities meet operational, environmental, and ownership standards
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in property maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fencing, and equipment or vehicle repair Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to supervise staff, contractors, and seasonal employees effectively Physically capable and safety-minded, able to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs Organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities, adjust to changing schedules, and maintain confidentiality in all operations Proficient with computers and basic management software; CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training provided) Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, willingness to travel as needed Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening Get in touch!
