Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor - Maxton, NC About the Role Silgan Containers, America's largest metal food packaging producer, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to manage maintenance operations in our high-speed manufacturing facility in Maxton, NC. This role is ideal for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager with expertise in industrial maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, mechanical systems, and continuous improvement. You will oversee maintenance teams, ensure maximum equipment uptime, and drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to assist production efficiency. What We Offer You Medical, dental, and vision insurance Virtual healthcare through telemedicine Optional wellness programs, including pet insurance 401k with 6 percent employer match 15 paid vacation days and 10 paid holidays annually Tuition assistance and professional development programs Full-time, on-site role located in Maxton, North Carolina What You'll Do Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, machinists, and millwrights Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and such as Allen-Bradley Minimize downtime by responding to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain and optimize CMMS and maintenance records Review downtime reports, equipment reliability metrics, and maintenance costs Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and plant safety protocols Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams Collaborate with production teams to improve machine performance and efficiency Identify cost savings opportunities and process improvements Train, coach, and evaluate maintenance staff performance We Need You to Have High school diploma or GED Technical associate degree is a plus 5 or more years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance systems, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and Allen-Bradley PLC programming and diagnostics Experience in high-speed manufacturing, food packaging, or industrial production environments Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM, or Six Sigma principles Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings Experience using CMMS software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong management, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Why Join Silgan Containers?
