This role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, compliantly, and within budget. Join a team committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan and manage daily/weekly maintenance schedules; prioritize workload to meet operational needs. Supervise mechanics to ensure high-quality, timely repairs and maintenance. Monitor shop financials, including labor, parts, and inventory; control costs and approve expenses within authority. Review DVIRs and manage documentation using fleet management systems. Ensure compliance with company policy, OSHA, and DOT regulations. Inspect completed repairs for quality and safety compliance. Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives. Maintain vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and quality service. Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and assist with incident investigations. Oversee shop organization and cleanliness. Manage staff scheduling, timecards, hiring, training, and performance management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of fleet maintenance experience (diesel/heavy equipment) and leadership exposure. Technical degree in diesel or heavy equipment repair Supervisory experience Certifications such as ASE T Master, CAFM , and/or CDL A are a plus. Logistic system experience with Samsara or other camera, routing systems. Valid driver's license.
