Job Description
Maintenance SupervisorPosition Summary We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a high-volume manufacturing facility in Hastings, Nebraska. This role is responsible for leading a skilled maintenance team while ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient production. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians. Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related equipment issues. Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Coordinate maintenance activities with production to maximize operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards. Manage work orders and maintenance documentation. Monitor inventory levels for spare parts and maintenance supplies. Assist with capital improvement projects and equipment installations. Train and mentor maintenance personnel while promoting continuous improvement. Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance department. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree is a plus. 5+ years of industrial maintenance leadership or supervisory experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience. Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and industrial controls. Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Previous experience in a manufacturing or paper, packaging, or converting environment is preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
