2015 certified contract manufacturer specializing in high-quality wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical assemblies for OEM customers across a wide range of industries. For more than 35 years, we have built our reputation on quality, reliability, customer service, and fast turnaround while utilizing advanced automated wire processing equipment and proven manufacturing processes. We are seeking a hands-on Equipment Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and reliability of our production equipment and facility systems. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, improving reliability, and leading a small maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead all preventive and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical equipment to minimize production downtime Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to support production schedules Train, mentor, and delegate work assignments to maintenance support personnel Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and accurate maintenance documentation Monitor spare parts inventory and identify replacement parts before equipment failures occur Research equipment specifications, replacement components, and manufacturer recommendations Communicate effectively with equipment manufacturers and technical support teams to resolve complex machine issues Determine when issues can be resolved internally and when escalation to equipment manufacturers is appropriate Assist engineers with tooling modifications, fixture improvements, and basic fabrication projects as needed Support equipment installation, setup, and continuous improvement initiatives Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance department while following all company safety procedures Respond to occasional after-hours equipment emergencies when required
Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, electro-mechanical maintenance, or closely related experience Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting industrial production equipment Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing equipment issues Computer proficiency, including researching technical information, documenting repairs, and managing maintenance records Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests while remaining calm under pressure Ability to lift equipment and components and perform hands-on maintenance activities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Komax, Schleuniger, Eubanks, or similar automated wire processing equipment Familiarity with stripping machines, crimping machines, crimp applicators, and automated wire processing equipment Basic PLC troubleshooting experience Experience supporting manufacturing environments utilizing automated production equipment Experience fabricating simple tooling, fixtures, or equipment modifications. Military maintenance, electro-mechanical, or industrial equipment experience is highly encouraged
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
