LIVE-IN SUPERINTENDENT
(Housing Included, plus salary) We are seeking an experienced Superintendent for two residential communities totaling 150+ units. This is a hands-on management position for someone who is equally comfortable fixing a plumbing issue, directing a technician, dealing with a vendor or sitting down with an inspector. This is not for someone who hears there is a plumbing issue and immediately calls an outside plumber, first. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance operation of the communities, including supervising one technician, scheduling vendors, obtaining bids and following projects through to completion. This position requires real technical ability. You must be able to troubleshoot and make repairs properly and independently, without constant oversight. Just as important, you need the judgment to recognize when an issue requires additional support and communicate that quickly and clearly. You will also be a key point of contact for residents, vendors, municipal officials, DCA, Section 8 and other inspectors. Professional communication, diplomacy and good character are essential. We're looking for someone who: Has strong hands-on maintenance and repair experience Has supervised people and/or managed property operations Takes initiative and follows through Is highly trustworthy and dependable Keeps accurate records, logs and project updates Can obtain and compare vendor bids Communicates well and knows when to involve a supervisor Is comfortable working with inspectors, municipalities and government agencies Is willing to assist other properties and teammates within the region Understands that representing the property means representing the standards of the organizationSchedule:
