Job Description

Summary:
The maintenance supervisor collaborates closely with the maintenance manager to ensure the business operates in a consistent and efficient manner.
Job:
Assists in the planning, organizing, and managing of maintenance schedules: pre-shift, intra-shift, and post-shift.

Works closely with production, overseeing and assisting where necessary, to maintain proper operation of equipment and utilities.

Monitors wastewater treatment operations and performs monthly regulatory composite sampling.
Responsibilities:
Communicates and strengthens company values, vision, and mission.

Continually strengthens a team environment, where all members of the organization strive for high levels of trust and excellent communication.

Maintains preventative maintenance schedules along with the maintenance manager.

Performs safety audits, coordinating, and prioritizing safety initiatives and repairs along with the maintenance manager.

Monitors, maintains, and repairs refrigeration systems with both internal maintenance staff and contracted commercial refrigeration providers.

Ensures that maintenance stock resources are allocated effectively, efficiently, and kept at or above the minimum required levels.

Continually evaluates production processes and systems for efficiencies, including equipment use, maintenance, and improvements.

Monitors and assists with preventative and emergency repairs.

Is available (on-call) for emergency events, such as but not limited to, refrigeration failures, potable water, and wastewater plant breakdowns.

Tracks and coordinates regulatory testing requirements of environmental, potable water, and wastewater (effluent).Represents the company well both internally and externally, and throughout the industry.

Upholds product quality standards and regulatory programs, including quality control and tracking procedures, to meet and exceed industry requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years leadership/management experience.

Basic computer skills, experience with Maintenance Management Software systems, preferred.

Experience in a food production organization.

Food safety experience - knowledge of food safety standards & related industry regulations, including Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP).Client reserves the right to modify the essential duties of this position description as business demands dictate.
