Overview Automotive Service Manager Acme Nissan | South Brunswick, NJ Full-Time | Management Acme Nissan is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our Service Department in South Brunswick, NJ. We are a family-owned and operated Nissan dealership looking for a strong leader who understands how to grow service sales, develop a team, take care of customers, and run a profitable, efficient shop. This is an opportunity for an experienced Service Manager — or an exceptional Assistant Service Manager ready for the next level. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, and drive the profitability of our automotive service center. Your leadership will inspire a team of skilled technicians and service advisors to deliver top-quality repairs and maintenance, all while fostering a positive and efficient work environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage the service department team, including technicians and service advisors, to achieve operational goals. Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repairs. Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates. Ensure adherence to dealership standards for automotive repair quality, safety protocols, and customer service excellence. Upsell additional services and maintenance opportunities through effective client communication to maximize revenue. Manage service writing processes, including detailed documentation of repairs and client interactions. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining transparency in all financial dealings. Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, follow-up, and exceptional service delivery. Monitor workflow efficiency, prioritize repairs, and ensure timely completion of all service jobs. Stay updated on automotive diagnostics techniques and industry best practices to continuously improve service quality. Skills Proven experience in auto service management with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, brakes, suspension components, shocks & struts, tire services, oil changes, and collision repair processes. Skilled in using CDK and Nissan systems. (Prefered but not required) Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and recommended services. Demonstrated ability to upsell services ethically while maintaining customer trust. Dealership experience or familiarity with automotive service operations is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic is advantageous. Ability to lead a team of 15 efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
