  • Responsibilities
  • Job duties include, but are not limited to the following.
The successful candidate will perform the following: + Manage the records generated by the FPE organization + Evaluate NFPA code IT&M changes and implement them through the procedure change process + Manage the inventory of tools and equipment needed to perform IT&M activities + Perform fire impairment coordinator responsibilities + Manage the ITM work on a variety of fire protection systems at a Class 2 Nuclear/Class 4 Mining facility. Work will include fire protection systems located in an underground mine and in surface facilities.

Uploaded resumes and completed applications are the means of determination._ + Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or + Associates degree in a technical discipline plus four (4) years of technical experience, or + High School Diploma or equivalent plus eight (8) years of technical experience. + Must be able to obtain NICET Fire Protection Level Certification in Water Based Systems, Special Hazards or Alarm and Detection Systems within one (1) year of hire. + Must be 18 years of age. + Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without SIMCO visa sponsorship now or in the future. + Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the WIPP Site (even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge). + Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns—including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries

  • Preferred Requirements
  • + NICET Certification in Water Based Systems, Alarm and Detection Systems and/or Special Hazards Systems. + Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.

Salary range:
$70,972 to $133,850 per year
