Job Description

Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the plant's comprehensive equipment maintenance program. This role directs the preventive maintenance initiatives necessary to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. The incumbent must effectively lead a team of mechanics and inspire a diverse workforce, emphasizing safety, equipment reliability, and product quality. Essential Functions Ensure completion of preventative maintenance tasks by maintenance technicians to support reliable plant operations. Maintain a comprehensive view of plant maintenance, including urgent issues, short-term and long-term opportunities, and areas performing well, prioritizing efforts to improve equipment reliability. Collaborate with outside suppliers and procurement as needed. Work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance to minimize quality issues and proactively address food safety requirements in accordance with USDA, FDA, SQF, and organic standards, ensuring the highest food safety and product quality. Communicate and interact effectively with all departments and management. Own the development, updating, training, and monitoring of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production equipment maintenance processes. Participate in budget creation, management, and oversight of the Equipment Maintenance & Repair (M&R) budget. Interact with regulatory compliance agencies (e.g., USDA, FDA) as required. Establish Continuous Improvement plans and annual goals for all applicable plant areas. Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic and operational goals for plant-wide maintenance operations. Report maintenance issues, trends, and opportunities to management, while initiating and presenting solutions to improve plant performance. Develop tools to track KPIs, analyze trends, and drive continuous process improvements. Coach, train, and develop team members to enhance individual and organizational performance. Perform other duties across the plant, including utilities, warehouse, and office areas. Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Familiarity with applicable electrical, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
