Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee and coordinate maintenance operations across our manufacturing facilities. This energetic leader will ensure the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems. As a key team member, you will manage facilities maintenance teams, implement preventive maintenance procedures, and uphold safety regulations to create a safe, efficient environment that supports continuous production. Your expertise in troubleshooting, project management, and facilities management will drive operational excellence and foster a proactive maintenance culture. Duties Lead and supervise maintenance teams to perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and low/high voltage systems. Manage facilities maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset histories, and maintenance schedules. Troubleshoot complex engineering issues involving schematics, electrical systems (including high voltage), mechanical systems, and HVAC units using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by conducting safety audits, enforcing safety procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment for all team members. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs by planning tasks, managing resources, and overseeing project timelines to ensure timely completion. Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with industry standards to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency. Supervise managing facilities maintenance teams by providing leadership in team management practices, performance evaluations, training initiatives, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Skills Strong management skills with proven experience supervising industrial maintenance teams in manufacturing environments. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including HVAC systems (repair and troubleshooting), plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems (including low voltage and high voltage), and industrial machinery. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and system control. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards along with the ability to enforce safety regulations effectively. Competence in project management principles to plan, execute, and oversee maintenance projects from start to finish. Skilled in using Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; experience with CMMS platforms is preferred. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English to coordinate teams efficiently across shifts.
