Job Description
What to Expect The Semi Coatings team is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small group of equipment maintenance technicians responsible for maximizing equipment availability and performance. This hands-on role oversees preventative maintenance and repairs on electro-mechanical, robotic, and pneumatic manufacturing equipment, develops and maintains maintenance/calibration schedules, supports 5S, Lean, safety, and continuous improvement activities, and collaborates cross-functionally as an innovator and change agent to elevate the Maintenance team. What You'll Do Manage, mentor and lead a team of Maintenance Technicians focused on equipment reliability and performance Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime & efficiency Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and robotic equipment issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement & operational excellence Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, procedures and maintenance schedules Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate equipment repairs, upgrades and refurbishments Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations What You'll Bring Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent experience 3 plus years of leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment Strong multi-craft skillset in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems & automation Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens or Allen Bradley) & robotic systems Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities & optimizing equipment reliability Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities & drive results Strong verbal & written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
