Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities Maintenance Director to lead and oversee all aspects of facilities management within our organization. This pivotal role involves managing maintenance operations, supervising teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the integrity of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to facility upkeep. Duties Lead and manage the facilities maintenance team, providing clear direction, supervision, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of work. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures for mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and industrial equipment. Oversee the scheduling of routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Troubleshoot engineering issues related to mechanical systems, electrical circuits (including high voltage and low voltage), HVAC systems, and schematics to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by conducting safety audits, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining accurate safety documentation. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs, coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion within budget. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety incidents for accountability and continuous improvement. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and schematics for system diagnostics to ensure proper functioning of all facilities equipment. Qualifications Proven management experience in facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance environments with a strong background in supervising teams. Extensive mechanical knowledge including HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), and general engineering troubleshooting. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, CMMS software, and maintenance repair procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety programs within industrial or commercial settings. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills in English to coordinate across teams effectively. Technical certifications related to electrical systems, HVAC repair, or industrial maintenance are highly desirable.
