MAINTENANCEMANAGER/SUPERVISOR IN ISLANDIA, NY
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Islandia, New York. This individual will be responsible for leading all maintenance operations within the facility, overseeing technicians, managing repair activities, and ensuring all equipment and building systems run safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, experience managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and the ability to lead projects from planning through completion. Pay, Schedule, and Location Starting at $38/hour Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision Schedule varies based on operational needs; weekend availability required24/7 operation with schedules determined by volume (facility closed only three days per year) Located in Islandia, New York Duties and Responsibilities Lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring proper task assignments, shift coverage, and daily workflow execution Oversee all maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment optimization Manage facility systems, industrial equipment, and essential infrastructure to maintain maximum equipment uptime Implement and monitor maintenance programs using work order systems such as Service Channel or similar Plan, schedule, and manage onsite maintenance projects, vendor work, and major repairs; ensure timely completion and quality Maintain maintenance records, inspections, compliance documentation, and asset tracking logs Conduct hands-on inspections, diagnose issues, and guide technicians through complex repairs when needed Enforce all OSHA, company, and regulatory safety standards Support budgeting for maintenance operations, including spare parts procurement, vendor management, and cost-control initiatives Train, coach, and develop maintenance staff to ensure technical competency and strong performance Serve as the primary point of contact for facility emergencies, escalations, and after-hours maintenance issues Collaborate with operations leadership to support production goals, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement projects Requirements and Qualifications Experience leading maintenance teams in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments Strong mechanical aptitude with deep understanding of industrial equipment, facility systems, and maintenance best practices Proficiency with maintenance software, work order tools, and WMS platforms Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop technicians Some college coursework preferred; equivalent technical/maintenance leadership experience considered Ability to lift 30 lbs and perform walking, standing, and facility walkthroughs Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and respond to emergencies as needed — (Salary range based on experience) —ABOUT ACCURATE PERSONNEL
