We are seeking a full-time, experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on apartment maintenance, renovation, or property maintenance experience.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Dependable, hardworking self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Perform routine maintenance and repairs at residential apartment properties. Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, heating, and mechanical systems. Experience renovating and rehabbing apartments from start to finish. Skilled in installing LVP/vinyl plank flooring, including floor preparation, cutting, fitting, and transitions. Experience with drywall repair, patching, sanding, and painting. Basic carpentry skills, including installing doors, trim, baseboards, cabinets, shelving, and hardware. Ability to replace and install toilets, faucets, sinks, vanities, light fixtures, outlets, switches, and other apartment fixtures. Basic appliance troubleshooting and repair experience. Efficient in completing apartment turnovers and getting units move-in ready with attention to detail. Able to diagnose problems and complete repairs correctly without constant supervision. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize work based on urgency. Identify additional repairs or potential problems and communicate them to management. Provide residents with professional and courteous customer service. Keep job sites and apartments clean and organized after completing work. Must be comfortable traveling between multiple properties throughout the Syracuse area during the workday. Must have own reliable vehicle and tools. Truck or van preferred. Valid NYS driver's license required.
