Maintenance Manufacturing

Maintenance Position Overview This role is responsible for leading the Maintenance & Tooling area, ensuring all machinery, equipment, and tooling are operating safely and efficiently. This position requires a hands-on, proactive individual who can manage maintenance from planning through execution. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the Maintenance & Tooling function Establish, document, and improve maintenance processes Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) procedures Track and report compliance with PMI standards Plan, schedule, and carry out maintenance activities Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment Troubleshoot equipment issues using manuals, diagrams, and engineering specifications Inspect and measure parts using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures Repair or replace defective components using appropriate tools and equipment (hoists, cranes, hand/power tools) Manage inventory of equipment, tooling, and spare parts, including reorder points and lead times Support the Extrusion team with equipment-related issues as needed Identify and communicate potential mechanical issues before they become larger problems Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in line with company and OSHA standards Document maintenance work, issues, and follow-ups to ensure clear communication across teams Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 85 lbs Stand, bend, twist, and move throughout the facility for extended periods (8+ hours) Frequent lifting and handling of materials Required Training General Warehouse Safety Saw Safety Fire Safety Forklift Certification (required) Work Environment Manufacturing setting with varying temperatures and noise levels Required use of safety glasses and hearing protection Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Trade school certification or degree in Maintenance is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a high level of initiative and flexibility Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) preferred Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Who We Are We are a values-driven company focused on taking ownership, supporting one another as a team, and treating others with respect.
