Your scope includes:
Lead the maintenance safety culture and reinforce safe work practices and accountability. Use LEAN manufacturing methods to support the strategic plan and continuous improvement. Drive asset reliability programs that support operational goals. Contribute to annual action planning and budget development. Prepare and execute investment, maintenance, and shutdown plans. Meet return on investment targets for approved projects. Develop employees and support their professional growth. Ensure compliance with Cascades business processes and best practices. Lead maintenance KPIs and improve work quality. Build and communicate plans for capacity, cost, quality, engagement, and health and safety. What you bring You're a natural fit for Maintenance Manager if you have: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering technology, or a related field OR equivalent experience. At least five years of manufacturing leadership experience in engineering, maintenance, or reliability may be considered instead of a degree. At least two years of experience leading a maintenance department. At least two years of experience managing and coaching employees. At least two years of experience with safe work practices, including lockout, PPE, and confined space. Experience with manufacturing maintenance best practices that support plant goals. Leadership skills and a collaborative approach that engage teams. Strong communication skills, tact, and diplomacy. The agility to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 paper manufacturing facility. Experience using technology to analyze, plan, and improve equipment uptime. Experience with Microsoft 365, especially Excel and Power BI. Knowledge of SAP software. Experience with pulp and paper mill equipment, products, processes, and technologies is highly desirable. Experience improving maintenance planning and scheduling processes. Experience developing KPIs to track projects and objectives.
