This is a working lead position requiring approximately 80% hands-on maintenance and 20% planning, coordinating, and supporting the maintenance team. The ideal candidate is an experienced industrial maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and preventing breakdowns—not just responding to them. Essential Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Maintain and repair facility support equipment including: Industrial chiller Steam/hot water boiler Air compressors and compressed air distribution HVAC equipment Building electrical systems Lighting Plumbing Dock doors and overhead doors Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes. Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Install, modify, and improve equipment as needed. Coordinate outside contractors when specialized work is required. Maintain an organized spare parts inventory. Schedule and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Assist in planning equipment shutdowns and major repairs. Lead by example and provide guidance to other maintenance personnel. Ensure work is performed safely and complies with OSHA and company safety standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records and completed work orders. Respond quickly to production equipment failures to minimize downtime. Preferred Qualifications Industrial maintenance experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems (120V, 240V, and 480V). Experience troubleshooting motors, motor starters, contactors, VFDs, relays, sensors, and control circuits. Experience with boilers, chillers, air compressors, and HVAC equipment. Welding and basic fabrication experience preferred. Forklift and aerial lift experience preferred. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
