Job Description

onsemi is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead and optimize the performance, reliability, and sustainment of manufacturing equipment supporting CMP, RTP, and CuBs. This role is critical to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective equipment operation in a 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing environment.

LAM Sabre, AMAT Endura Minimum Qualifications BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, or related). 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering or maintenance. 2+ years of experience leading or supervising technical teams. Demonstrated success in change management and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong working knowledge of equipment reliability methods, maintenance systems (CMMS), and KPI‑driven performance management. Preferred Qualifications MBA. Experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments. Budget ownership experience for maintenance, spares, or consumables. Lean, Six Sigma, or structured continuous improvement training. Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of 18 direct reports (2 Equipment Engineers, 16 Maintenance Technicians) supporting 24/7 operations. Own equipment performance KPIs, including uptime, line yield, and cost. Provide technical leadership and escalation support for complex equipment issues across CMP, RTP, and CuBs. Drive continuous improvements in equipment reliability, cost efficiency, safety, and quality through targeted electrical and mechanical upgrades. Drive equipment reliability and uptime improvement initiatives, including RCA, FMEA, LSS, and PM optimization. Partner with Process Engineering, Production, Quality, Facilities, and EHS to resolve tool, process, and safety issues. Ensure safe and compliant execution of maintenance activities, including adherence to LOTO, chemical safety, and site EHS standards. Maintain equipment documentation, PMs, work instructions, certifications, and training requirements. Plan, manage, and control a $3.57M annual spare parts and consumables budget, including forecasting and cost optimization. Manage supplier relationships, service strategies, and spare-parts repair loops to reduce total cost of ownership. Support audits, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
