Welcome to St. Martha Center for Rehabilitation & Healthcare! Our 120-bed facility provides a warm and caring environment for short-term rehab patients, and long- term residents including memory care. Our team of seasoned staff work together to offer excellent service and care to each resident. We are looking for a Director of Maintenance to oversee our
Maintenance Department Responsibilities of Maintenance Director:
Responsible for all maintenance department operations & personnel Plan, develop, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department Monitors the performance of maintenance staff by observing staff on all units, on all shifts and interviewing facility staff, residents, and families. Performs quality assurance functions, including regular compliance rounds. Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the facility policies Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures. Assist the maintenance staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc. Review the department's policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Administrator. Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.) Coordinating department operations, budgets and monitoring expenditures Ensure all maintenance work is in accordance with State/Federal & OSHA standards Must have ability to be " on call " for emergency situations Provide oversight of maintenance/repairs & ensure contracted services are completed in a timely fashion Maintains records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties and inspections
Qualifications of Maintenance Director:
5 years' experience in HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry & general maintenance Prior supervisory experience in healthcare maintenance setting Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent Ability to multi-task / stay on task & maintain focus in stressful situations Evidence of solid leadership and supervision skills Knowledge of Fire and Life Safety Valid driver's license Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office Benefits offered including : Vacation
