SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall leadership, supervision, and execution of maintenance and facility operations within a high-volume injection molding manufacturing environment operating on a 24/5, three-shift production schedule. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical expertise to ensure maximum equipment reliability, minimize downtime, maintain regulatory compliance, and support efficient, uninterrupted plant operations. Accountable for developing and executing maintenance strategies, managing facility infrastructure, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, safety, quality, and operational performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Supervision Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to all maintenance personnel, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective execution of daily maintenance operations. Develop, mentor, and train maintenance team members to enhance technical capabilities, support professional growth, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities, capital projects, and preventive/predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance. Communicate equipment performance issues, maintenance priorities, and operational risks to plant leadership, providing recommendations and corrective actions to support production objectives. Maintenance & Technical Execution
  • Oversee and participate in the repair, overhaul, installation, modification, and replacement of production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure optimal operational performance and reliability.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis efforts to diagnose equipment failures, utilize technical documentation, schematics, diagnostic tools, and testing equipment to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of equipment history records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation to support preventive maintenance programs, asset management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Direct and coordinate facility maintenance activities, including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, welding, fabrication, and general building repairs, ensuring a safe and well-maintained operating environment.
  • Manage the installation, startup, validation, and commissioning of new, upgraded, or replacement equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements Preventative Maintenance & Inventory Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies through effective administration and utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring maximum equipment reliability, asset longevity, and operational efficiency.
Oversee the execution of routine safety inspections, preventive maintenance activities, and equipment condition assessments to minimize unplanned downtime and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Manage maintenance storeroom operations and spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels of critical components, optimizing inventory costs, and coordinating procurement activities to support uninterrupted production operations. Evaluate equipment performance, condition, and lifecycle costs to develop data-driven recommendations for repair, refurbishment, replacement, and capital investment decisions. Facilities & Contractor Oversight Direct and oversee the activities of external contractors, vendors, and service providers, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company standards, project specifications, safety requirements, budgetary expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements. Manage facility infrastructure, buildings, utilities, and grounds to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient operating environment that supports continuous manufacturing operations and minimizes operational disruptions. Coordinate and prioritize facility maintenance, repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects, ensuring timely execution and effective utilization of internal and external resources. Evaluate contractor performance, monitor project progress, and verify completion of work to ensure quality standards, cost controls, and operational objectives are consistently achieved. Administrative & Communication Manage the procurement of maintenance supplies, spare parts, equipment, and contracted services, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices, timely availability of critical resources, and adherence to approved budgets. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, reports, and documentation related to maintenance activities, asset management, safety programs, environmental compliance, inspections, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present maintenance performance metrics, project updates, compliance reports, and operational recommendations to plant leadership to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. Foster effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization, partnering with production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to support operational objectives and drive plant performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and relevant experience will be considered. Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including direct supervision of maintenance personnel, planning and execution of maintenance programs, and responsibility for equipment reliability and facility operations. Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations, preferably within a 24/5 continuous production environment, with a strong background in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive operational excellence through effective maintenance management and asset reliability practices. Communication & Collaboration Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
