WIU is seeking qualified applicants for a Buildings & Grounds Supervisor. The Buildings & Grounds Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the intermediate unit's buildings and grounds. They coordinate and manage a team of custodial staff, ensuring that the buildings are well-maintained and the grounds are properly landscaped. Additionally, they collaborate with other departments and school administrators to plan and execute facility-related projects and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Primary responsibility is to ensure students and staff have a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, work and develop.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required; AA/AS in

Business, Skilled Trades Preferred Minimum Experience:

3-5 years of custodial/maintenance work is required. 1-3 years leadership and supervisory experience is strongly preferred. The schedule for this position is primarily 7:00 a.m.—3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, however flexibility is required to provide winter snow removal, cover weekend events as needed, and for occasional evening coverage. The Buildings & Grounds Supervisor will primarily serve WIU's Administration Building and Clairview School in Greensburg, however occasional county-wide travel may be requested based on operational needs. •If you are interested in being considered for this position, please do not submit your resume on Indeed.
