Job Description

Cardinal LG, a laminated glass manufacturer in Jessup, is looking for a Lead 2nd shift Maintenance Technician who is dependable, has a positive attitude, and works effectively in a team environment. The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as a working leader, partnering with production to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Brief Job Description :
The work will include maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production and facilities equipment.
Hours:
Monday•Friday 10-hour rotating schedule from 2:30pm•1:00am with a rotating 4-day weekend
Rate:
$25•$27 based on experience
Educational Requirements:
Technical 2-year degree or a minimum of 2 years of verifiable industrial work.
Experience:
Previous manufacturing experience required. Demonstrating leadership or technician experience preferred.
Dress Code:
PPE materials and gear will be provided as needed per task. Adherence to PPE will be mandatory.
Essential Job Tasks:
Work on 3 phase 480VAC electrical equipment along with 240Vac, 120Vac and low voltage DC instrumentation. PLC controlled equipment. Ensure preventative maintenance activities are completed on schedule and documented appropriately. Mechanical work will be on pneumatic, some hydraulics and multiple chain drives and gearboxes. Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, industrial troubleshooting and repairs. Assist with facility maintenance projects and capital improvement initiatives. Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements as needed. Mentor, coach, and train team members on maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and equipment operation. Promote and maintain a safe work environment by identifying hazards, correcting unsafe conditions, and ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel or stand for long periods of time Ability to communicate effectively and safely perform work in an industrial environment.
