Maintenance Lead Why We Need You Salary Range:
$80-115K/year + Bonus The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of maintenance employees while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of facility systems, utilities, production machinery, and equipment. This role plans and implements preventive maintenance programs, provides technical leadership with an emphasis on electrical systems, and supports continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. A Day in the Life | Responsibilities We Trust You With Provide leadership, technical support, coaching, and guidance to maintenance employees while fostering a positive and safety-focused work environment. Assign daily work activities and coordinate training to ensure maintenance personnel are properly developed and supported. Evaluate equipment and facility maintenance needs and recommend equipment upgrades or design modifications to improve safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Plan, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and support electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, steam, HVAC, and utility systems. Maintain plant support equipment including compressed air, refrigeration, steam, building systems, and HVAC systems. Coordinate maintenance repairs and determine whether damaged or defective equipment should be repaired or replaced. Requisition maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts while minimizing waste and controlling costs. Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations as well as company safety and quality standards. Support and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment records. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, uptime, and operational performance. What You Must Know | Education and Experience Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required. Five to ten years of progressive maintenance experience within a food processing or manufacturing environment. Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong electrical troubleshooting and industrial maintenance experience. Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and manufacturing equipment. Self-motivated with a strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence. Your Work Environment | Working Conditions and Safety Considerations Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing plant environment with occasional office work. Plant conditions may include exposure to heat, cold, noise, moisture, and moving mechanical equipment. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and varying schedules as needed to support operations.
