Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Chief Engineer to lead our maintenance and engineering operations, ensuring the seamless functioning of all hotel facilities. This pivotal role involves overseeing the maintenance, repair, and safety of the hotel's infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and industrial systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional management skills, technical expertise, and leadership qualities to maintain a safe, efficient, and guest-friendly environment. Duties Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance across all hotel facilities. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders and asset management. Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, electrical circuits (including high voltage and low voltage systems), plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Manage projects related to facility upgrades, renovations, or new installations with effective project management practices. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards by conducting regular inspections of electrical systems (including schematics), industrial machinery, and building infrastructure. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems troubleshooting. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and equipment performance to support continuous improvement initiatives. Skills Strong management experience with proven leadership in supervising maintenance teams within a hospitality or manufacturing environment. Extensive mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience covering high voltage and low voltage systems. Proficiency in using CMMS software for maintenance management and scheduling. Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting industrial equipment using tools like ohmmeters. Knowledge of HVAC systems operation, repair, and preventative maintenance strategies. Familiarity with facilities management practices including safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders. Demonstrated project management ability to oversee large-scale facility projects from planning through execution.
