EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Graduate of a technical school for general maintenance preferred. 2. High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred. 3. Must have a minimum of five year's experience in a maintenance department. Experience in a health-related facility and supervisory experience preferred. 4. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. 5. Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism. 6. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and government agencies/personnel and the general public. 7. Possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise non-professional personnel. 8. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, etc. of the maintenance department. 9. Ability to seek out new methods and principles, and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices. 10. Must possess a valid driver's license and verifiable safe driving record. 11. Must have training in Information Technology and at least one year of experience working with computers. 12. Must successfully complete the required criminal background check.
