Job Description
Responsible for managing and supervising Road & Bridge functions on a day-to-day basis, including but not limited to the repair, maintenance and construction of native, gravel, and paved surface and roadways, bridges, associated structure and drainage systems, hauling of roadway maintenance and construction equipment, the administration of third party services and maintenance contract, division budget management as part of the overall Public Works operational practices and procedure within delegated authority. Escalates policy, funding, and enterprise procurement decisions through the Public Works Executive Director.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Civil engineering, construction management, or related field preferred .Experience:
Minimum of seven (7) years or more experience in r oad and bridge maintenance, construction, or related field required . Minimum of four (4) years or more s upervisory experience in road or bridge maintenance, construction or related field required . Minimum of seven (7) years or more experience operating heavy equipment preferred . Minimum of four (4) years or more s upervisory experience in local, state, or federal government preferred .PLEASE NOTE
The substitution of any combination of relevant and related education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability may be considered.License and Certification:
Valid Colorado Driver's License within 60 days of hire required . Certified Flagger obtained within 60 days of hire required . Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Certification obtained within 60 days of hire required . Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification obtained within 60 days of hire required . Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement preferred .Special Requirements:
