Job Description

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Service Manager to join our team. New 10,000 square foot facility. Fully air conditioned and loaded with new equipment.

This position is very customer focused and requires the ability to handle difficult interactions with tact and ease. In this role, you would initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services required; verify warranty and service contract coverage; foster and establish customer rapport and keep accurate records. This role does manage a team of 6 - 10 employees for day to day operations.

Requirements:
  • Establish and maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
  • Work with Procurement team to identify routine or complex vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Determine whether repairs are managed in-house or outsourced.
  • Source reputable vendors to be used for outsourced components and negotiate reasonable rates.
  • Enhance organizations reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Drive resolution for clients experiencing maintenance and mechanical issues.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required- prior 5+ years management experience in overseeing a service team in a high volume dealership.
  • Required- strong technical knowledge acquired through education, practical experience or training.
  • Proficient with computers and willingness to learn/use internal software programs.
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record required.
  • Required extensive practical experience in servicing and repairing a wide variety of makes of vehicles, supervising technicians and positively interacting with customers.
