Maintenance Supervisor City Personnel - 4.1 Warwick, RI Job Details $41 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits 401(k) matching Qualifications Paving Staff supervision Driver's License Managing facilities maintenance teams Maintenance budget management Full Job Description Our client is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead infrastructure upkeep, maintenance programs, and regulatory compliance across daily operations. This role works closely with maintenance staff, contractors, and organizational leadership to keep facilities, paved surfaces, drainage systems, vegetation, signage, and specialized equipment maintained safely and efficiently.
Compensation & Highlights:
Pay Rate:
$41 per hour. Contract. Responsibilities of the
Maintenance Supervisor:
Provide daily leadership and supervision to maintenance staff, including assigning work, coaching employees, supporting development, and ensuring compliance with safety practices. Oversee regulatory and safety compliance through inspections, hazard mitigation, documentation, and preventive maintenance programs for facilities, paved areas, vegetation, and specialized equipment. Manage the CMMS work order system, assigning, tracking, and monitoring maintenance requests while ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation. Coordinate seasonal and weather-related operations, including snow and ice response, equipment readiness, and emergency response. Oversee contractors, infrastructure maintenance, inventories, reporting, budgeting, procurement, and long-range maintenance planning. Qualifications of the
Maintenance Supervisor:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, public administration, construction management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience, with a track record of leading teams through complex maintenance operations. Knowledge of infrastructure maintenance, pavement systems, markings, lighting, drainage, grounds programs, snow removal, and applicable regulations. Experience with budgeting, procurement, compliance, contractor oversight, Microsoft Office, and CMMS systems. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to read blueprints and technical specifications. Valid driver's license required.
