What You'll Do Plan, schedule, and supervise the maintenance and repair of all heavy equipment such as material handlers, loaders, forklifts, etc Possess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, welding principles, rigging, overhead cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment operation Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with production machinery, conveyors, motors, pumps, and control systems Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs. Coordinate with operations to minimize equipment downtime and ensure availability. Manage a team of mechanics, technicians, and support staff. Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance personnel. Oversee workload distribution, performance, and adherence to safety protocols. Manage maintenance budget, including labor, parts, and outside services. Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies; ensure timely ordering and replenishment. Negotiate with vendors for equipment, parts, and services Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA and company safety standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, inspections, and compliance documentation. Lead root cause analysis investigations for major equipment failures or safety incidents. Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. Keep up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies. What You'll Need Minimum 5 years maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required Experience with Preventative/Planned Maintenance processes and procedures and ability to develop procedures and schedules preferred Ability to read and understand blueprints, layout projects, locate prints and use maintenance technical manuals Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced continually changing environment Must be able to follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations.
