OBJECTIVE:
Ensure the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities services to the plant. P rimary
Responsibility:
Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the contractor maintenance program; implement, maintain and manage work orders within the CMMS; support inventory control and project execution while partnering closely with operations.
Specific Duties:
Assist with day-to-day management of facilities employees and task assignment to ensure efficient performance Coach, discipline and complete and execute performance reviews for team members Assistance with scheduling and managing external vendors/contractors and cross-functional projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, company standards and safety protocols, partner with planning and production to align with all areas Refine and execute a prioritized contractor maintenance schedule, driving the timely resolution of generated work orders internally to lower costs, minimizing equipment downtime and facility disruptions. Improve production and facility efficiencies by means of improving and maintaining processes Shares best practices throughout all departments and help develop team skills. Maintain work order list with priority levels and drive timely root cause analysis and completion. Drive production and facilities energy & efficiency improvements. Implement cost-reduction projects. Partner with the spare parts team to streamline coordination and support overall facility management activities Assists with preparation of Facilities & Maintenance departmental budgets as necessary; ensures conformance as required. Serve as a backup resource for the EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) programs and activities , by assisting with monitoring and maintaining the
ISO 50001
programs and i.e., safety training programs, inspections, medical surveillance, Fire Prevention/Protection, Ergonomic programs, policies, and procedures. This includes cost control/reduction and accident prevention/reduction. Determines and reviews all manufacturing processes with Project Management Team for cost effectiveness and feasibility, both before and after engineering releases to manufacturing. Assists with development of reports and analysis of key performance indicators to create and implement corrective actions Collaborates with plant management and project teams to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness utilizing Continuous Improvement techniques. Assists with action on any food safety problems reported by personnel and for the follow-up to ensure problems have been corrected. Assists with supporting the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of food safety/quality system. Skill and Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree with 5+ years experience preferred Proficient with electronics, electrical and mechanical maintenance of facility and production equipment Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs, ability to lead others through change Strong computer skills, Outlook, Excel, and Teams, ERP system knowledge (preferrable SAP) Able to demonstrate the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions Exceptional interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills with a proven ability to multi‑task and prioritize projects effectively and meet deadlines Ability to select, coach, develop, engage and retain a team English communication skills (Speaking/Writing) Bilingual Spanish (Preferred) Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50lb weight unassisted Stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift Comfortable with climbing, balancing, and noisy environments Wear all required PPE and follow safety protocols Ready to make your mark on a team that values your expertise and invests in your future?
