Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee and coordinate maintenance operations across our manufacturing and facilities. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. As a leader in facilities maintenance management, you will supervise maintenance repair procedures, manage maintenance repair teams, and implement project management strategies to uphold the highest standards of safety regulations and operational efficiency. Your expertise in industrial maintenance and engineering troubleshooting will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring our facilities operate seamlessly and safely. Duties Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams to perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing systems, and high/low voltage equipment. Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion within safety regulations and budget constraints. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule work orders, track maintenance activities, and analyze equipment performance data for continuous improvement. Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, multimeters, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety regulations by conducting safety audits, training team members on safety procedures, and maintaining accurate safety documentation. Oversee the repair of HVAC systems including HVAC system repair tasks such as replacing filters, repairing ductwork, and troubleshooting system failures. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory to optimize facilities management operations. Requirements Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair and troubleshooting. Strong electrical experience including working with electrical systems—high voltage and low voltage—using tools like ohmmeters for diagnostics. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety procedures across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Experience managing facilities maintenance using CMMS software for work order tracking and asset management. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as managing HVAC systems. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
