Hydraulic & Electrical Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing Brownsville, TN Up to $82,000/yr + OT ($39/hr) Mon-Fri, 7am-4:30pm Direct Hire Heads up: This role is built for a hands-on troubleshooter — not a paperwork supervisor. Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience is required. Candidates without it will not advance. Self Opportunity is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer in Brownsville, TN to place a Hydraulic & Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. This direct hire role sits inside a 350+ person facility running 64 injection molding presses, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent with indirect oversight of ~25 mechanics and electricians across shifts.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic and electrical system failures — hands-on, not just supervisory Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic prints to diagnose equipment issues Oversee daily maintenance operations across a high-volume injection molding facility Drive preventive maintenance execution and reduce unplanned downtime Coordinate work order planning, parts procurement, and shift coverage Enforce LOTO, OSHA, and facility safety standards consistently Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of ~25 mechanics and electricians Track and report
KPIs:
PM completion rate, unplanned downtime, labor utilization
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
Hands-on hydraulic troubleshooting experience — the #1 requirement Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience, including print reading 5+ years in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated team leadership or supervisory experience Strong preventive maintenance background Safety certifications (LOTO, OSHA); safety-first mindset Stable work history — this team values long-term contributors
NICE TO HAVE PLC
experience (strong plus — robotics a bonus) CMMS experience (SAP, Megamation, or similar) Lean / Six Sigma exposure Experience in plastics, injection molding, or pipe/fittings manufacturing
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Salary up to $82,000 (salary non-exempt — OT paid at $39/hr)
Typical OT:
~5 hours/week; additional OT likely early on Monday-Friday, 7am-4:30pm core hours; occasional weekend support Relocation assistance available for the right candidate Hydraulics | Electrical Troubleshooting | Print Reading | PLC | Preventive Maintenance | CMMS | LOTO | Injection Molding |
