Lead Maintenance Technician Knoxville, Tennessee Pay:

Position Summary The Lead Maintenance Technician supports the General Manager by ensuring the hotel remains safe, functional, and well maintained. This position oversees the maintenance department, performs preventative maintenance and repairs, supervises maintenance staff, and delivers exceptional guest service while maintaining quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of the maintenance department and supervise maintenance staff. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building systems. Conduct routine inspections of the hotel, identifying and resolving maintenance and safety concerns. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate or perform repairs as needed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders. Maintain hotel grounds, guest rooms, common areas, and equipment in excellent condition. Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching maintenance team members. Maintain maintenance logs, preventative maintenance schedules, and required documentation. Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory. Recommend facility improvements and cost-effective maintenance solutions. Provide outstanding guest service while maintaining a professional and safety-focused work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 5-10 years of maintenance experience in hospitality, commercial facilities, or a similar environment. Strong working knowledge of preventative maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems. HVAC Certification and Pool Certification preferred. High level of integrity and ability to pass required background/security screenings. Valid driver's license Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge Building maintenance methods, tools, equipment, and materials. Preventative maintenance programs and repair procedures. Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Safety regulations, security procedures, and hazard recognition. Maintenance of hotel furnishings, fixtures, and equipment. Skills Supervising and training maintenance staff. Troubleshooting and repairing building systems and equipment. Performing and documenting preventative maintenance. Operating hand and power tools safely. Maintaining organized maintenance records and schedules. Delivering professional guest service and resolving maintenance concerns promptly. Abilities Lead and motivate a maintenance team while maintaining high performance standards. Communicate effectively with guests, staff, vendors, and management. Prioritize multiple projects and respond quickly to emergencies. Maintain guest confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Work within budget guidelines while maintaining quality standards. Promote teamwork and maintain compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and reach for extended periods Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight travel as needed. Work Environment This position requires an on-site presence and is not eligible for remote work. The Lead Maintenance Technician must be available to respond to operational and maintenance needs while maintaining a professional appearance and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $37,440.00 - $41,600.00 Per Year
