We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer with a strong background in hotel facilities management, specifically within the Marriott brand. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities and technical expertise to oversee the maintenance and operations of our hotel facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to managing engineering projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and fostering a culture of excellence among the engineering team. Duties Lead and manage the engineering department, providing direction and support to ensure efficient operations. Oversee all maintenance management activities, including HVAC systems, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing, and general facility upkeep. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory management, and reporting. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Supervise the installation, repair, and maintenance of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other industrial equipment. Collaborate with project management teams on renovations and upgrades to enhance guest experience. Train and mentor engineering staff in best practices for mechanical knowledge, industrial maintenance, schematics interpretation, and use of tools such as ohmmeters. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and prepare reports for management review. Experience Proven experience in a leadership role within hotel engineering or facilities management. Strong background in HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage), mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance. Proficiency in project management principles with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with CMMS software for efficient maintenance tracking and reporting. Ability to communicate fluently in English; additional languages are a plus. A solid understanding of schematics related to electrical systems and mechanical operations.
