Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Superintendent to lead and manage facilities maintenance operations across our diverse property portfolio. This pivotal role involves overseeing the maintenance, repair, and safety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal building performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to coordinate teams, enforce safety regulations, and uphold high standards of facilities management. Duties Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams, managing daily operations to ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance tasks. Oversee mechanical systems repair, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and low voltage wiring, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Utilize schematics, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Manage facilities maintenance using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track asset history, and optimize workflows. Enforce OSHA safety standards and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel. Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with industry best practices to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. Coordinate projects involving facilities upgrades or renovations while managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, safety compliance records, and equipment schematics for audit purposes. Experience Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance teams in a fast-paced environment. Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, electrical systems (including low voltage), plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment. Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to industrial facilities maintenance and safety procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes. Experience managing facilities using CMMS platforms to streamline work order processing and asset management. Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively while fostering a safety-conscious work environment. Excellent communication skills in English for clear instructions and collaboration across departments. $40,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
