Job Description
Position OverviewJupiter Supper Club is looking for an experienced and hands-on Service Manager to join our Front of House leadership team.
This is a hybrid hospitality role designed for someone who enjoys both leading a team and actively working service. The position will include approximately 2 3 shifts per week as Service Manager, with additional shifts scheduled as a Bartender or Server, depending on experience and business needs.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in restaurant service, previous leadership or management experience, and experience behind the bar and/or serving in a full-service environment.
Late-night and closing availability is required.
Service Manager ResponsibilitiesWhen scheduled as Service Manager, you will:
Act as Manager on Duty and oversee Front of House operations during assigned shiftsLead and support the FOH team throughout serviceConduct pre-shift meetings and communicate reservations, events, menu updates, and service expectationsMaintain an active presence on the floor and ensure consistent execution of service standardsMonitor the overall guest experience and handle guest concerns and service recoveryCoordinate communication between the floor, bar, hosts, kitchen, and support teamsManage sections, breaks, cuts, and overall flow of serviceCoach team members in real time and provide clear, professional feedbackEnsure opening and closing procedures, side work, and cleanliness standards are completedSupport special events, private events, and high-volume servicesEnsure compliance with company policies, TABC requirements, and responsible alcohol service standardsComplete closing procedures and remain on-site until the restaurant and team are fully closed outCommunicate significant service, staffing, guest, or operational issues to the management teamServer / Bartender ShiftsIn addition to management shifts, the Service Manager will work scheduled shifts as a Server or Bartender as part of the regular FOH team.
During these shifts, the Service Manager will perform the standard responsibilities of the position scheduled and participate in the applicable tip structure.
QualificationsPrevious restaurant management, supervisory, shift lead, or Manager on Duty experience requiredStrong serving and/or bartending background requiredExperience in a full-service, upscale, craft cocktail, or high-volume environment preferredAbility to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environmentReliable, punctual, and comfortable taking ownership of a shiftMust have evening, weekend, and late-night availabilityMust be available to regularly work closing shiftsTABC and Food Handler certifications required or must be obtained prior to starting
