Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department with energy and enthusiasm. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive profitability through effective management of service technicians, parts, and repair processes. Duties Manage the entire service department, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction Lead, motivate, and develop a team of service technicians and support staff to achieve high standards of performance and professionalism Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, alignments, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs Ensure accurate service writing and auto estimating to provide transparent quotes and facilitate upselling opportunities that enhance revenue Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all repair processes Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, ensuring positive experiences that foster loyalty and repeat business Monitor parts inventory levels and order supplies as needed to keep operations running smoothly Manage cash handling procedures accurately while maintaining detailed records of transactions Promote automotive sales by advising customers on vehicle upgrades or additional services that meet their needs Experience Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management is essential Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair techniques, and vehicle maintenance procedures Hands-on experience with service technician supervision and training Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing practices Strong understanding of automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair techniques Demonstrated ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards Prior experience in sales within an automotive setting is highly desirable Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle cash transactions accurately Mechanical knowledge combined with dealership experience ensures comprehensive understanding of vehicle repairs Join us as an Automotive Service Manager where your leadership fuels our success!
