Job Description
We are seeking a Service Manager in the Conroe, TX for a company that services agricultural and construction equipment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily service operations, allocating work to service personnel, monitoring workflow, communicating with customers, resolving customer issues, and ensuring maintenance, inventory, tools, and equipment needs are handled efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with service and repair operations, customer communication, problem resolution, sales support, financials, spreadsheets, profit/loss, expenses, and adapting to new programs or systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily service operations and ensure work is properly allocated to service personnel
- Monitor workflow and ensure service work is being completed efficiently
- Maintain open communication with customers and provide status updates
- Schedule and coordinate repairs, service work, and scheduled maintenance
- Resolve customer issues and assist with problem resolution
- Support sales, service, and operational goals
- Analyze work problems and assist workers in achieving department objectives
- Track financial information including expenses, profit/loss, and related reports
Requirements:
- Agriculture, farming, ranching, construction equipment, or related service industry experience preferred
- Service management, service advisor, or equipment service operations experience preferred
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workflow
- Computer literate and comfortable learning new programs
- Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting ability
- Valid driver's license required
